Saint Francis de Sales, (pictured above) one of the Doctors of the Church, is a saint who deeply reflected on these questions and offers us rich insights on our life and vocation as Christians and even more as human beings. Fr. Binu Edathumparambil, MSFS, author and psychotherapist, shares his thoughts and reflections on one of the famous sayings of this saint, “Be who you are and be that well” through a weekend retreat on December 13-15, 2019. Father Binu Edathumparambil, MSFS, is a member of the Missionaries of Saint Francis de Sales. He holds a Masters in Psychology and a Masters in Christian Studies from Madras University. He received his Doctorate in Family Therapy from Saint Louis University. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Child Trauma at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Additionally, he has an advanced training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. Since his ordination as a priest, Fr. Binu has worked as a psychotherapist, hospital chaplain, associate pastor, provincial secretary, and faculty member in the seminary and college. Fr. Binu has authored three books, The Accent: Exploring the Path to a Rejuvenating Life (2015), I Am Who I Am: Unraveling the Mystery of God (2017), and Strangers to Spouses: A Study of the Relationship Quality in Arranged Marriages in India (2017).
